The 3rd International Art Fair takes place at the Congress Center do Arade near Lagoa from 4th to 6th of June. More than 80 artists from 15 countries exhibit and sell their own work. One of them will be awarded with the the art prize Prémio Arte Algarve. There is always an invited nation, and this year it is the Republic Cabo Verde. Seven well know painter from the Atlantic archipelago represent their country. The International Art Fair Haut Rhin is also present, while ARTE ALGARVE has a stand the partner fair in Alsace.

The explanation for ARTE ALGARVE's success is a very specific art market. On one side there are many potential art buyers in Europe's sunniest region, national and international visitors and residents. On the other side, there are many excellent artists – but few galleries to connect the two sides. Under these circumstances, the art fair turns into a central forum, and the art buyers enjoy an enormous variety and reasonable prizes.

The fair opens from Friday June 4th to Sunday 6th, daily from 3 pm – 11 pm. The entrance fee is only 3 Euros.
