DRIVING DIRECTIONS
Departures and Arrivals are clearly signposted from the airport junction of the EN125.
CAR PARKING
Car
park P1 is short-term parking located in the Departures area and P3 in
the Arrivals area. Car park P2 is long-term parking and is located
behind car parks P1 and P3. Hire cars are located in a separate car
park.
CAR HIRE
Auto Jardim, Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, Nationa/Alamo, Rentauto and Sixt are all represented, with counters located in the Arrivals area.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Road:
Taxi: Taxis can be caught from outside the terminal building, near the
Arrivals concourse. Bus: Buses can also be caught outside the terminal
building. Several town buses operate between the airport and various
locations in central Faro (passengers should check the timetable posted
near the information desk at the meeting point). AEROBUS
provides a shuttle service between the airport and the city centre
between June and October. Passengers should check with the airport
beforehand to make sure the AEROBUS is operating.
INFORMATION AND HELP DESKS
There
is an information service desk at the meeting point in the terminal
building. Passengers can contact the information service (tel: (0)289
800 617) for details of flights, disabled facilities, opening hours and
public transport timetables. Cultural and tourist information is also
available on arrival from the ICEP desk.
AIRPORT FACILITIES
Money and communications:
There are banks in both the Arrivals and Departures concourses, with
ATMs located nearby. A bureau de change and post office are located in
the Arrivals concourse. Eating and drinking: There are several restaurants and food outlets at the airport. Shopping: There are duty-free and tax-paid shops at the airport, offering a wide variety of goods. lugadge: There is a lost property facility near the meeting point (tel: (0) 289 800 688). Other facilities: There are travel agencies.
CONFERENCE AND BUSINESS FACILITIES
A
conference room is, exceptionally, available for hire in the terminal
building; facilities for up to 65 delegates include TV and video. For
further information on business facilities, contact the airport manager
(fax: (0)289 818 802) stating your requirements. Passengers wishing to
use the CIP Lounge (tel: (0)289 800 787) should enquire at the information desk.
DISABLED FACILITIES
Passengers
requiring wheelchairs or assistance should inform their airline at the
time of booking. Lifts and disabled toilets are located throughout the
airport. Disabled passengers can park in reserved spaces in the car
park opposite the terminal building.
AIRPORT HOTELS
There are no hotels on-site, although the Ibis Faro (tel: (0)289 806 771) is only 2km (1 mile) from the airport. Other hotels in the area include the Lti Alfamar Beach & Sport Resort, Hotel Faro and Hotel Monaco.
