7 Wonders of Portugal - Sagres Fortress

As part of the Seven Wonders of Portugal project, Sagres Fortress will be organising a series of activities inside the monument, in the car park and in the Boa Esperança Caravel (anchored off Praia da Mareta and in Porto da Baleeira). This initiative has the support of the Vila do Bispo Municipal Council, Sagres Fortress / IPPAR and the Dr. Rui Grácio Training Centre. From 9.30am to 5.30pm: Truck, Exhibition of Monuments in the Final, Exhibition of Works of Art, Launching of the balloon - Car park. 9th: Theme: Commemoration of the Portuguese Discoveries -15th -16th Centuries From 11am and 4pm: Historical and Cultural Entertainment; Presentation of the Certificate as a Finalist to Sagres Fortress; Procession to S. Vicente, Praça d’Armas; 7.30pm and 9pm: “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” by William Shakespeare 9pm: 16th century banquet with historical entertainment by the group “Sete Mares”- Official guests Historical Tours in the Fortress From 10.30am to 7pm, Praça d’Armas Visits to the Boa Esperança Caravel From 10.30am to 6pm: Praia da Mareta 10th: Theme: Arrival of Prince Henry the Navigator and his Retinue at the Fortress 10am to 12.30pm: Reading competition, Sagres Fortress Auditorium 12pm to 6pm: Medieval Fair and Arrival of Prince Henry and his Retinue at the Fortress; Procession to S.
