Albumarina to develop the port of Albufeira Marina |

A resolution of the Council of Ministers approved the
contents of a concession contract for the development, in a public
service regime, of the port destined for recreational boating,
designated as the Marina de Albufeira.
The referred concession will be celebrated soon between the
Portuguese State, represented by the Minister for Public Works,
Transports and Communications, and the company ALBUMARINA.
This Resolution of the Council of Ministers makes viable the
"exploration of a new recreational infrastructure, in the regime of
public service, which permits valorising a very significant private
investment, integrating private land in an area of the public domain",
reads a communication sent to the Editor of the Região Sul from the
Council of Ministers, wherein it was also stated that this project
forms part of the policy outlined by the Government for incentive,
support and
development of structural projects which aim to reinforce
competetivity and sustainability in sectors like tourism and the
maritime-port system".
