Algarve music festival with classical recitals

the Algarve´s International Music Festival will this year be launched with five weeks of classical recitals, covering the months of April though till June, held across the Algarve, starting with performances from Portuguese quartet Camerata Senza Misura. Camerata Senza Misura, an eclectic set-up mixing piano, violin, clarinet and cello, will be playing on April 25th, 26th and 27th, in the Vila do Bispo, Monchique and Alcoutim mother churches respectively.

This year FIMA will bring the world-acclaimed Prague Chamber Orchestra to the Algarve who, after playing on some of the world�s most prominent stages, will be playing in the Vila Real Santo Ant�nio cultural centre, led by maestro Osvaldo Ferreira, on May 2nd and 3rd.
On the 7th, 9th, and 11th of May the Belo Horizontes Palace of Arts company, from Brazil, will be putting on a dance inspired by Shakespeare�s �Midsummer Nights Dream�, in the Vilamoura Casino, Lagos Cultural Centre and Lagoa auditorium.
Portuguese pianists M�rio Laginha, Bernardo Sassetti and Pedro Burmester, will be putting on a jazz performance in the Arade Pavilion (Ferragudo, Lagoa), on May 16th, followed by Chinese violinist Yang Liu, distinguished by the International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow.
Yang Liu will be playing in the Silves and S�o Br�s Municipal theatres, on May 17th and 18th.
Pianist Ricardo Costa, of the acclaimed Deutsch Gramophone company, will be playing in the Tavira Carmo church and Loul� mother church on May 22nd and 23rd, respectively, accompanied by the Algarve Orchestra.
More acts from around the world are promised for this year�s FIMA, which is being held for the 30th time, organised by the Regional Tourist Board, in collaboration with Faro�s Teatro das Figueiras and the creative input of Maestro Osvaldo Ferreira.
Spectacularly closing the classical repertoire will be the French Ballet de l�Op�ra de Paris, who will be gracing the stage of the Teatro das Figueiras, in Faro, on June 1st.
