Sunray
Village, a property development located near Almancil in Portugal’s
sunny Algarve Region recently won Best European Development of 2008
from the European Property Awards. The village, which will comprise 52
two and three bedroom townhouses, also won the award for Best
Architecture for 2008. The awards will be presented at a celebration in
London on September 27 at the Sheraton Park Lane Hotel and are
sponsored by CNBC Television and SIMA, the Madrid International Real
Estate Fair.
Sunray
Village’s owners commissioned the award-winning architect Vasco Vieira
to design this new development in one of the most popular areas of
Europe. Here, he blends contemporary and traditional design with plenty
of natural light. The location has inspired Vieira’s choice of natural
elements of stone and wood, combining them with large glazed surfaces,
bringing in the light to the modern interiors to balance with the
outdoor living space.
Each home in
Sunray Village enjoys a private garden, multi-use room, garage, and a
private pool or Jacuzzi. The development is currently under
construction with completion planned for late 2009. Located in the
Algarve provides residents many options for things to do, from enjoying
the beautiful beaches and golf courses to horseback riding and
trekking. Prices begin at approximately €423,000 and up, depending on
the size and options chosen.
