The American group Black Eyed Peas, the British James Blunt and the
Portuguese Boss AC are names confirmed for the 2006 edition of the
Algarve Summer Festival, which takes place in June in the Estádio
Algarve, Região Sul has learnt.
The three artists will join Daniela Mercury, another name
confirmed, for the two-day event, which could take place on 16th and
17th or 17th and 18th of June.
According to this journal's source, the Black Eyed Peas should perform
on the first day, as well as Daniela Mercury, Boss AC and another name
to be confirmed, as James Blunt is anticipated to take to the stage on
the closing day of the event, also with another three artists.
The bill for the second edition of the Algarve Summer Festival
is practically closed, but continues to be held a secret. However, the
Região Sul knows that there has been contact by the organisation with
D'Zrt.
The artists already given as certain in the Festival have not
yet announced the referred concerts on the official sites, but are free
for the two possible dates of the event.
Of the rest, the itinerary of the Boss AC in the Algarvian
region is yet to be outlined: as well as the Algarve Summer Festival,
the rapper will also perform in the academic weeks of Loulé, on 21st of
this month and in Faro on 13th May.
Last year's Algarve Summer Festival brought together more than
25 thousand people in the Algarve Stadium, where they received Lenny
Kravitz, Ivete Sangalo, Da Weasel and Orishas.
