Feira da Serra in Loulé
The traditions of the interior of the region retur to the Pavilion of NERA in Loulé, between 7th and 10th December. This is the 2006 edition of the Feira da Serra (Mountain Fair), which this year highlights cork as "one of the greatest riches of the Algarvian mountains".
Around 100 exhibitors, from artisans and agricultural producers, will mark their presence at the event, representing diverse activities such as ceramics, basket-making, sausage and sweet-making. Organic agriculture is also one of the components which continues to deserve attention.

"A Cortiça: Saberes, Usos e Tradição" (Cork: Skills, Uses and Tradition) is the title of an exhibition/display which aims to show visitors that which is one of the most important products of the Algarvian mountains.

Another of the attractions is the space reserved for snack bars, with tastes of Algarvian gastronomy, like lemon-marinaded mackerel, wild boar, chick-pea and bean dinner, corn meal and home-made sausage.

There will also be no lack of musical shows and traditional dances of the region.

The event will function between 18:00 and 00:00hrs on 7th; at 14:00 and at 00:00hrs on 8th and 9th and at 14:00 and 21:00hrs on 10th. Entrance costs 2 euros.
