Liverpool in Vale do Lobo for five days |
|
The English club will be at a training camp in the Algarve from 12th to 16th February to prepare for their meeting with Barcelona in the first knock-out round of the Champions League. The Reds will be staying for five days at Barringtons Golf & Health Spa, a tourist resort located in the Vale do Lobo area. Mentioning Liverpool’s wins in the Champions League in 2005 and the
English Cup in 2006, Graham Stewart, Barringtons director-general, said
that they were very excited about welcoming Liverpool.
Adding that they would have everything they needed there in Vale do Lobo.
He also said that the training pitch there is in excellent condition to receive stars such as Steven Gerrard, Xabi Alonso, Luís Garcia and the giant Peter Crouch, along with other top names from the English club.
In charge of the team will be the Spanish coach ‘Rafa’ Benitez. Liverpool’s training camp in Vale do Lobo precedes the first knock-out round of the Champions League against Barcelona on 21st February.
Vale do Lobo seems to be the place to stay for English clubs after visits by teams such as Manchester United, with Cristiano Ronaldo, Middlesbrough and the England team itself.
