Parque das Cidades urbanisation to get bigger |

In a press release, the local authority said that there was an
archaeological site in the immediate vicinity of Falfosa as well as a
series of facilities (Parque das Cidades and Algarve Stadium) and, in
the future, the Algarve Central Hospital, the Technology Park and
Laboratories which, because of their characteristics, were of
region-wide importance and needed to be developed.
The document adds that the study, which spans an area of 29 hectares,
will examine the access routes to this area, ensure that it is properly
regulated and consolidate the existing urban area, but it will also
look at the creation of new, complementary economic activity.
