Nicholas Marr, chief executive officer of international property portal Homesgofast.com, has said that house prices in the Silver Coast area of the Algarve are already rising more rapidly than anywhere else in the area.

And he has predicted that this growth will accelerate in the future as the area reaps the benefits of Beja airport becoming operational in 2008.

'We view the hotspot as the Silver Coast … where properties are normally half the price of the central Algarve and they've got good quality and potential,' he affirmed.

The Royal Óbidos Spa & Golf Resort from Oceânico Developments on the Silver Coast was recently recognised as a project of national interest by the Portuguese Investment Agency, appointed by the Government.
