Last weekend one of the hottest new venues in the Algarve was unveiled to a vibrant group of invited-only guests. The Amo-te Pine Cliffs Sushi Club, situated within the beautiful Sheraton Pine Cliffs resort, is an exciting partnership between the Sheraton/Starwood Hotels group and Portuguese TV presenter Pedro Miguel Ramos' 'Amo-te' chain, and is one of the Algarve's must-visit venues of the year.
Set to take the resort to new heights, the venue's unique concept effortlessly brings together fashion and cool cuisine.
Stylishly designed with a contemporary architecture and stunning d�cor, blending natural materials and striking colours, Amo-te Pine Cliffs Sushi Club comprises an indoor restaurant and various open-air seating areas, beneath the resort's famed Pine trees.
The effect creates a modern, streamline feel, which complements current Japanese minimalist trends whilst adding fashionable, bold-coloured features.
Clientele can watch as talented chefs prepare and roll the delicacy in the open Sushi bar. Dressed in traditional Japanese attire, they work enthusiastically using authentic ingredients and equipment. Very entertaining.
On the night, Sheraton Pine Cliffs General Manager Flavio Bucciarelli was evidently excited about the venue's debut and turnout.
"It's fantastic", he said about the overall result "I think we have a unique product and it looks great. I am really excited about this, it has worked very well."
Open to the general public, the venue offers an alternative experience for those looking for something a little different. From now until the end of August the Amo-te Pine Cliffs Sushi Club will host nightly entertainment, though the restaurant and club will be open year-round, from 11h00 - 02h00.
Guests at the launch included Albufeira Mayor Desid�rio Silva and his wife; Carlos Leal of United Investments Portugal (UIP), an IFA Hotels & Resorts consortium member and responsible for developing the 215-room luxury Sheraton Algarve Hotel and Pine Cliffs Vacation Club, Pedro Miguel Ramos, and his actress wife Fernando Serrano, who at four and a half months pregnant looked simply stunning.
Favoured by Portugal's Jet Set and a haunt for the beautiful, amo.te venues are places to see and be seen, following a concept of glamour and lifestyle.
Pedro Miguel Ramos told The Portugal News in May how the latest expansion of his Amo-Te group, the first in the Algarve, would offer "a seductive ambience in which to relax, complemented by fantastic Sushi, a chill-out area, and a service that is second to none", enhancing the Sheraton's renowned image of style and exclusivity.
And that was undoubtedly achieved.
