The tournament takes place on 22nd and 24th July at
the ‘Estadio Algarve’, Loulé, Faro and will see Glasgow Celtic FC,
Middlesbrough FC, Cardiff City FC and Vitória Guimarães battle it out
for the inaugural Algarve Challenge Cup. With teams from Scotland,
England and Wales playing against the Portuguese Champions League
qualifiers, a very exciting tournament is anticipated.
As part of the sponsorship
package, Vigia is providing the 44 official mascots for the event. Half
the children are from Vigia property owners, who will be in the Algarve
on holiday and the rest of the positions have been offered to children
from ‘Casa da Primeira Infancia’ in Loulé, the official event charity.
The
Vigia Group’s Managing Director, Mark McFadden commented: ‘It is very
exciting to be involved in the very first Algarve Challenge Cup. The
event is set to be a major feature in Portugal’s sporting calendar,
fitting in perfectly with the Vigia brand. We are looking forward to an
excellent working relationship with the organisers over the next three
years.’
Darryl Kenyon from the Algarve Challenge
Cup said, “We are delighted to have the Vigia Group on board as our
match ball sponsors. The Vigia Group is an established prestige brand
in the Algarve with a wealth of experience and knowledge of the area,
making them the perfect sponsor for this event.”

celebrate this new partnership, the Vigia Group has created some
