 The EU is contributing almost one million euros towards the construction of a new sport and well being centre, which is due to be inaugurated near the Ria Formosa in Faro, this month. The project, which represents a total investment of around three million euros, received a declaration that it was of particular interest to the tourism industry, which led the EU to provide €800,000 towards its creation. Around €750,000 has been invested by a joint partnership between Parkalgar, which manages the Algarve Motor Park and Galp Energia to build a Photovoltaic Centre to produce electricity on site, that is now operational. The photovoltaic complex is linked to the national grid and is now producing energy. Occupying a 3,000 square metre space in the northern park of the Motor Park site, the complex has 504 200W monocrystlaine silica photovoltaic panels made by Efacec. |

Menus designed by chefs awarded with Michelin stars, chocolate workshops and other delicacies, are part of the 5th edition of the International Gourmet Festival "Tribute to Claudia", to be held in Albufeira during the upcoming week.
