ALBUFEIRA Beaches
Albufeira beach

This beach is better described as two beaches, west and east, of Town beach and Fishermen’s beach. The two are attractively joined by an umbilical tunnel. Both are enclosed by beautifully formed cliffs and both are provided for by toilets, lifeguards and bars/Restaurants.

Town beach has bars along the cliffs rather than at beach level and car parking may present a problem in high season. So popular, it is a great spot for those who want a busy beach even in the off-season.
Fishermen’s beach is well populated with attractively coloured fishing vessels and boat trips are available. It extends quite a distance to the east. At high tide walkers are forced to clamber over rocks, adding to the healthy exertion. Much flora and fauna grows on the cliffs. At the furthest end of the beach visitors are treated to an exciting find – a secret beach lies up steps and over the cliff beyond.
