Pego do Inferno
About 7 km
of Tavira, following the sinalética Mills of the Rocha/Pêgo of the
Hell, in the Clientele of Estêvão Saint, we find an excellent example
of the landscape of the Algarvio Ravinetad land.
Part
of natural that fits the Ribeira of the Assêca and the respective
waterfalls of which if it detaches the Pêgo of the Hell.
The Ribeira of the Assêca, is one of the more important water courses of Tavira.
In the marginal edges, it is possible to observe some fantastics
species that depend on the water, nominated the cágado one (leprous
Mauremys) and the common-frog
one (Farcical farcical). They will be able to cross for the other
edge of the Ribeira through the bridge and in the edges of the ribeira
to observe diverse species of animals, as the hare (lepus capensis),
the Ouriço-cacheiro (Erinaceus europaeus), and snakes (Malpolon
monspessulanus).
