Uma Portaria aprovada em Setembro deste ano insere em si mecanismos que liberam o cultivo de transgénicos em várias zonas agrícolas da região, o que vai contra as decisões das várias Assembleias Municipais (AM) algarvias. O alerta é dado pela AM de Aljezur que agora apela ao Governo para que revogue a Portaria, uma vez que além das AM algarvias, também a AMAL já marcou posição idêntica quanto ao não ao cultivo de transgénicos na região.

Until July 2007, four pavilions, with a total area of 5700m2 will be installed in Faro, next to the Municipal Swimming Pools, to receive various fairs, starting with that of Algardecor on 30th of this month.
