In the first semi-final, local lad Miguel “Mr Kick” Varela faces Lisbon-based fighter Danny Furtado. Portuguese Muay Thai Champion Varela put on a very impressive fight in front of his home-town fans at Dynamite 8 in Messines but now faces the much more experienced Lisboeta, who has 70 fights under his belt and is the IMTF World Champion and WKN European Champion. The second semi-final eliminator will be between one of Portugal’s top fighters from Lisbon, Andre Mendes – Portuguese Grand Prix Champion – and Albufeira’s rising star, Mark “Tyson”. Even though Mark is only 18 years old he has an impressive track record with some top names under his belt, and says he’s going to give the fans what they want – a win by Knock Out! The finals for the Dynamite Champions 65kg Belt will between the winners of these fights and held at the next big fight night, Dynamite 10.
