The construction of the golf courses of the Amendoeira Golf Resort development started, with the unveiling of a plaque by the President of the Municipal Council of Silves, Isabel Soares.

Also present at the ceremony were the administrators of Oceânico Group, Simon Burgess and Gerard Faggan, the architect responsible for the project, Rui Mateus and invited representatives of the Councils of Lagos, Portimão and Lagoa.

The company which will undertake the construction of the two golf courses of the Amendoeira Golf Resort is Multigolfe and in relation to the infrastructures, at the end of March the company which will be responsible for these will be known, with the start scheduled for this month.

The five star development represents a global investment of 400 million euros from Oceânico Developments in the western Algarve, with the inauguration anticipated at the beginning of 2007.
