The approvals needed for the advancement of the project Vale do Lobo
III have now been granted, thus allowing the development of the area.
In all, the investment in the project will be around 500 million euros. The construction of a five star hotel, 180 suites and 126
plots for 283 villas is foreseen, plus luxury apartments around by the
Royal Golf Course, for which the infrastructures are already being
installed.
According to declarations by the Chairman of the group, Sander van
Gelder, "this ambitious project (...) represents a relevant
contribution to tourism in Portugal and for the economy of the country
(...) creating many jobs and will bring a higher volume of work to
suppliers and local businesses".
Details of the project
Vale do Lobo III will be constructed in an area surrounded by
lakes and the magnificent landscapes of the Royal Golf Course, not
limited only to a five star hotel, but equally aims to have "a variety
of real estate solutions, including a condominium of apartments, linked
and semi-linked villas and a diversity of plots for construction of
detached villas", affirms Van Gelder.
The Chairman of the group further adds that "there will be
born a new product in the bi-family format, where each choice of 12
plots will present two linked villas, but completely independent in
themselves. With a modern and bold design, each of the buildings is
composed of one T3 type villa and one T2 with excellent internal and
external areas, as well as private swimming pools", he concluded.
Details of the protocol
The project further demands the existence of a protocol between
the Vale do Lobo Group and the CCDRA - Commission for Co-ordination and
Regional Development of the Algarve, the Director-General of Tourism
and the Municipal Council of Loulé.
The agreement stipulates that Vale do Lobo "must execute or
finance infrastructure works and installations of public interest, to
complement the works to be undertaken in the resort, which will equally
benefit the community", emphasises a source from Vale do Lobo.
The total investment of the Vale do Lobo Group of Companies in
these projects and in other infrastructures amounts to 23 million euros.
